This is the first satellite phone to be constructed for that Inmarsat network from the ground-up - responding to client needs - for use in harsh environments. The satellite mobile phones connect with the satellites and send data to other phones by means of the satellites. The satellites in fact become the medium of data transmission for satellite handsets.
